Doris G. Vicknair

Doris Guidry Vicknair, age 89 passed away in Gonzales, Louisiana on Wednesday March 21, 2012. She was the beloved wife for 50 years of the late Roland N. Vicknair. Doris was a resident of Gramercy, LA and a native of Paulina, LA. She was a retired employee for the Pontchartrain Levee District for 35 years. She is survived by her two children, daughter, Maureen (Tracy) Dison of St. Amant and son Lynn (Diana) Vicknair of Denham Springs. Four grandchildren; Allison Lemoine, Lance (Leann) Lemoine, Rodney Vicknair, and Kim (George) Vogel. 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Doris is preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Leontine M Guidry, Sr., and siblings; Bertha G. Vicknair, Elise G. St. Pierre, Beulah G. Hanle, Eugene Guidry, Jr, and Numa Guidry. Half brother Oscar Oubre and son-in-law Corey Lemoine. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 8:30 am until 10:45 am at H. C. Alexander Funeral Home in Lutcher. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gramercy LA. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Mausoleum. Arrangements under the direction of H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, Lutcher, LA.
