James Wesley Young, age 79, of Poplarville, Mississippi passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018. He was born December 5, 1938 in Hattiesburg to Stella Harris Young and Wesley Young.

James is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lucille Howard Young; three children, James Earl (Bridgett) Young, Beverly (Thomas Dale, Sr.) Newsome, Terry Dewayne Young; one brother Randy Harris, three sisters Louise Kitchen, Frances Harris, Nancy Harris; seven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

James was preceded in death by; his daughter Cathy Lowe; parents, Wesley Young and Stella Young; one brother Emmett Young; and one sister, Maudie Lee Young.

A funeral ceremony for James will be held Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 2:00 PM at White Funeral Home, 102 North 1st Street, Lumberton, Mississippi 39455. Visitation will be 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Thursday at the funeral home.
