Eddie Ruth Stone Calvert went home to be with Jesus on Friday, August 30, 2024, at the age of 83. She was born in Carnes, Mississippi to Edward and Bonnie Ruth Stone on March 20, 1941. She lived on the Mississippi Gulf Coast for many years, returning to the Carnes community after retiring from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department. Eddie Ruth was a faithful member of Shepherd’s Flock Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Thomas Hall, brother, Gordon Wayne Stone; and her sister, Omelia Merritt.

Left to forever cherish her memory are her children, Ruthie (Stanley) Hester, Rene’ (Wayne Snow) Kent and Chad (Kim) Thomas; and her sister, Dianne (AJ) Danner. Eddie Ruth was blessed with nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at White Funeral Home in Poplarville. Friends are invited to join the family from 2:00 pm until the service begins.
