William Malcolm "Mike" Ricks

Mr. Ricks had been a groundwood supervisor at Champion Paper. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys. He was a member of Keltys First Baptist Church. Mr. Ricks served his country in the United States Navy.

Survivors include his grandsons and their wives, Kevin and Lindsay Waterman of Nacogdoches and Justin and Tonya Waterman of Diboll; grandson, Josh Floyd Holiday; granddaughter, Angel Floyd; 3 great-grandchildren; step-daughters, Brenda Waterman and Lynn Pate Holiday; and sister, Rita Delafosse, and a number of other family members.

Mr. Ricks was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Laverne Ricks; brother, Fred Whitehead, Jr; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services for Mr. Ricks will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2011 in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Reverend Horace Fletcher officiating.
