Trudy Ellen Taylor

Trudy Ellen Taylor, born July 17, 1948, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2024. A dedicated school teacher, Trudy touched the lives of countless students with her passion for education. She had a special love for Snoopy, and her favorite color was red. Trudy cherished listening to George Strait, baking delightful treats, and spending time with her beloved dog, Reggin.

She was grateful for the compassionate care provided by the CNAs and nurses who supported her during her final years. Trudy enjoyed reading, solving crossword puzzles, and celebrating Christmas with family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Kurth Animal Shelter, reflecting her love for animals.

Trudy is survived by her niece Brandi DuPree and her husband Randy, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her best friend, John Redd. She was preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Marion Taylor, and her brothers, Kelly and Larry Taylor.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 2 PM at the Garden of Memories Memorial Park in Lufkin, TX. Trudy will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
