Teresa was born May 11, 1954 in Houston, Texas, the daughter of the late Charlcie (Reynolds) and Daniel Newburn. She passed away Friday, September 1, 2023 at her residence.
Teresa loved spending time with her family. Christmas was her favorite time of the year. She loved her Mother, Daddy, sisters and all of her nieces and nephews.
She was raised in Freeport, Texas where she met her best friend, Clare Fields Flood. They were inseparable. Their souls were connected and always will be. Teresa was a twirler for Brazosport High School, and moved to East Texas her Junior year, and graduated from Lufkin High School in 1972, where she was also a twirler.
She was a registered nurse and graduated from Texas Women's University with her B.S.N. She dedicated her life to helping others. She married the love of her life, Glynn. He never left her side. They loved going on the boat, with "Pom Pom," their precious pomeranian . They loved traveling together. Teresa was a loving soul, and had the biggest heart. Teresa is in no more pain, and has no more tears. She is resting in the arms of her savior, Jesus Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Glynn Oliver of Lufkin, stepsons and daughters-in-law, Zach and Michelle Oliver of Lufkin and Carson and Barbie Oliver of Heartland; grandchildren, Corbin, Carter, Coda, and Brice; sister and brother-in-law, Pam and John Jones of Lufkin, brothers-in-law, Lynn Oliver of Lufkin, Ben Oliver of Nacogdoches and Butch Gorman of Lufkin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Teresa was preceded in death by her sister, Danielle Gorman; and stepson, Cody Oliver.
