

Services for Ruby Louise Flowers, 88, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2014 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Kevin Flowers officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mrs. Flowers was born March 25, 1926 in Parma, Michigan, the daughter of the late Mable (Schultz) and Arthur Kilburn. She passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 in a local nursing facility.
Mrs. Flowers was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, as well as a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing bingo and was a member of the VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary of Nacogdoches.
Survivors include her children, Dennis Lee Flowers and wife Ann of Pollok, Charles A. “Chuck” Flowers and wife Debbie of Lufkin, Gary Flowers and wife Patricia of Lufkin; Bob Flowers of Lufkin, and Debbie Grinnell and husband Jim of Lansing, Michigan; grandchildren, Julie Aguirre of Dallas, Richard Flowers of Lufkin, Rhonda Flowers of Lufkin, Kevin Flowers of San Antonio, Christi Melancon of Lufkin, Brian Flowers of Vancouver, Washington, A. J. Grinnell of Lansing, Michigan, and Wendy Large of Lansing, Michigan; 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of other family members.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Flowers was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Hubert Lee Flowers; daughters, Beverly McDougal and Barbara Lynn Flowers; sisters, Rio Titus, Myrtle Dexter, Cecile Jochen and Olive Mohler; brother, Wesley Kilburn; and grandson, Bobby Flowers.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Flowers, Charles Flowers, Gary Flowers, Bob Flowers, Richard Flowers, and Brian Melancon.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
