Services for Roger Cheney, 58, of Lufkin, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 3, 2021 in the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel located in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park, 5205 S. First Street, with Bro. Johnny Perry officiating.
Roger was born January 14, 1963 in Redding, California, the son of the late Mary Ann (Franklin) and Harold Cheney. He passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021 in a local hospital.
Roger was a truck driver and a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing and enjoyed working around his property.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Cheney; daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Mike Pinner and Jeanna and Perry Henson; sister-in-law, Bonnie Emerson; and grandson, Cody Drake.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David “Bubba” Cheney.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel located in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
