Roger Gene Bass

Services for Roger Gene Bass, 58, of Lufkin, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2010 in the Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. D. R. McNaughten officiating. Interment will follow in the Aldredge Cemetery.

Roger was born April 26, 1952 in Woodville, Texas, the son of Ellen (Gordon) Bass and the late Elisha Bass. He passed away Saturday, August 14, 2010 in a local hospital.

Roger was a good family man, husband and father. He was an automobile detailer for Daniel's Auto Sales who just enjoyed working on cars. Roger was a faithful member of Harbor Light Church.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Bass of Lufkin; daughters, Priscilla Bass, Tammy Bass, both of Lufkin, and Michelle Bass of Woodville; sons, Donald Bass of Lufkin; mother, Ellen Bass of Woodville; brothers, Tim Bass of Spurger, William Bass of Lufkin and Donald Ray Bass of Huntsville; sisters, Evelynn Bass and Shirley Bass, both of Woodville; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Pallbearers will be Billy Attaway, Johnny Reeves, Chris Reeves, Darrell Faulk, David Singleton and Donald Bass.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home.
