Mr. Harris was born in Lufkin and graduated from Lufkin High School in 1968. He joined the United States Marines, serving for 4 years, and was stationed in North Carolina. He worked at the Paper Mill and then worked for Hercules Offshore Drilling as an electrician for 19 years. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Camilla Hall Harris of Diboll; daughter, Alexis Hall of Diboll; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Michael Albright of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; son, Rayner Jason Harris of Holland; stepdaughter, Angie Hall and John Moreno of Diboll; stepson and daughter-in-law, Neal and Corinna Hall of Sheffield, Pennsylvania; mother, Ruth Dailey of Lufkin; 12 grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Donald Campbell of Diboll and Martha and John Rowin of Lufkin; and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great-nephews, and other family members.
Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his father, E. C. Harris; and brother, Eddy Harris.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
