Regena Gay Strong was born July 27, 1957, the daughter of Rev. Elzine and Doris Strong. She passed from this life on April 29, 2019 at 61 years of age with loved ones by her side. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
Regena was a 1975 graduate of Diboll High School. Following graduation, she worked at AT&T as a telephone operator. For many years, she was a vital part of the United Pentecostal Church of Diboll, which was founded by her dad, Rev. Elzine Strong. She played instruments and served in numerous aspects of the church.
Regena’s life was dedicated to her mom and dad and she cared for them faithfully. She had a thoughtful, giving, and nurturing personality. She had a way of making people feel special. She enjoyed sending cards and helping others. She often provided encouragement to family, friends, and neighbors. We will remember Regena as a sassy young lady who walked with a “pep in her step” and always brought a fun perspective to conversations. You might say the Lord broke the mold when He created her. The world could only handle ONE Regena and she will be missed by her family, friends, and fur babies.
She is preceded in death by her parents. She will be missed by numerous cousins, aunts, many friends, and her beloved pet companions; Lola, Louie, Tattiana, and Jiggs.
