Services for Rachel Yvonne Robinson, 84, of Lufkin, will be held at 1:00 pm Monday July 30, 2018 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Pat Jones. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mrs. Robinson was born January 10, 1934, in San Augustine, Texas, the daughter of Gerald Chisum and Louise Mitchell. She passed away July 27, 2018 in Lufkin.
Mrs. Robinson was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed cooking for her family and anyone who was sick and in need. Yvonne was a long time member of the Church of Christ, and was currently attending the Union Road Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Charles D. Robinson and Bonnie of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Gary Harkness of Lufkin; grandsons, Bradley Harkness; Brice Harkness and wife Anna of Humble; Bryan Harkness and fiancé Kayla Wright of Lufkin; Forrest Robinson and wife Elizabeth of The Woodlands; granddaughter, Jennifer Robinson of Tyler, and great grandchildren, Evelyn Robinson, Rhett Robinson, Reid Robinson and Brooks Robinson.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Charles A. Robinson; sisters, Sue Cole; Judy Korry and Bettye Chisum.
Pallbearers are Bradley Harkness, Brice Harkness, Bryan Harkness, Forrest Robinson, Wayne Durham and Don Parrish.
Honorary pallbearers are Rhett Robinson, Reid Robinson, Brooks Robinson and Evelyn Robinson.
A special Thank You to David and Lyska Gordon, Wayne Duham, The Rory Truss Family, Don and Katie Parish and all the others who expressed their love.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Robinson’s memory may be made to the Affinity Hospice at 2708 S Medford Dr, Lufkin, TX 75901
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Gipson Funeral Home.
