Mrs. Moore was born October 24, 1931 in Waverly, New York, the daughter of the late Althea Mae (Hutchinson) and Fenton Maurice Bradley. She passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Moore was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother as well as a homemaker. She graduated high school in Nichols, New York. She married Charles Moore on July 30, 1949 and they became missionaries in Mexico and Central America from 1959 to 1972. They continued mission work until moving to Broaddus in 2000. She was of the Methodist Faith.
Mrs. Moore loved her family and was an avid bird watcher. She enjoyed watching people, nature, being outside, and listening to classical music. She loved to cook and loved for people to enjoy eating. Her grandchildren were her joy and now she is in Heaven enjoying her reward.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Althea and Marc Sheldon of Lufkin and Ruth and the late Charlie Jones of Broaddus; daughter, Martha Moore of Broaddus; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Rebecca Moore of Cope, South Carolina; son, Benjamin Moore of Smithville, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Loren Moore; son, Samuel David Moore; and sisters, Nancy Wayman and Carol Roberts.
The family will receive friends from noon until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
