Mass of the Christian Burial for Patricia Adams, 71, of Lufkin, will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 24, 2013 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with Frs. Francis O’Dowd and Raymundo Garcia, and Deacon Billy Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Rosary will be recited at St. Patrick Catholic Church at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening, with the family receiving friends and loved ones from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Mrs. Adams was born November 20, 1941 in Nacogdoches, Texas, the daughter of the late Audie (Garrett) and Tom Ramos. She passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 in a local nursing facility.
She was a devout Catholic and a longtime member of St. Patrick Catholic Parish. She organized a rosary making group and they have donated thousands of rosaries locally in hospitals, at the Tyler Fair and internationally. She was actively prolife. She loved to sew and donated many of her crafts to charity. Mrs. Adams was retired from the banking industry.
Survivors include her husband, Max Edward Adams of Lufkin; daughter, Dianna Mitchell and husband Billy of Lufkin; son, Brian Adams and wife Bobbie of Lufkin; daughter, Melanie McPherson and husband Kenneth of Moody; son, Thomas Adams and wife Charlotte of Lufkin; daughter, Stefanie Brunner and husband Steven of Huntington; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Greg Ramos, Sr. and wife Kathy of Waco and Thomas Ramos and wife Linda of Nacogdoches; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Pallbearers will be Justin Mitchell, Alex Saxton, Chris Adams, Brandon Adams, Scott Brunner and Greg Ramos, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Alan Adams and Matthew Adams.
