Nora Hargis

Graveside service for Nora Lee McNeil Hargis, 88, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2023 at the Sunset Mausoleum in Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Christian Weaver officiating.

Mrs. Hargis was born October 15, 1935 in Lufkin, Texas, daughter of Mary Gertie (Gann) and Edgar Lee McNeil. She passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at the Wells LTC Nursing & Rehabilitation.

Nora enjoyed going to Branson, Missouri with her husband. She also enjoyed listening to classic country music.

Survivors include sister-in-law, Judy McNeil of Lufkin; niece and spouse, Lisa Harbuck and Joe of Lufkin; nephew and spouse, Billy Weaver, Jr. and Lynn of Zavalla; nephew and spouse, Ronald McNeil and Vicki of Lufkin; niece, Angela McNeil of Longview; grandnieces, Meagan Harbuck, Morgan Allen, Caitlin Weaver, and Courtney Kane; grandnephew, Christian Weaver; great-grandniece, Emberly Kirtley; great-grandnephew, Hayden Allen; and other family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Kendall Hargis; brother-in-law, Billy Weaver, Sr., brother, Dillon McNeil; and sister, Merle Weaver.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Harbuck, Billy Weaver, Jr., Christian Weaver, Ronald McNeil, Mark Allen, and Wade Kane
