Minnie Ola Dunn

Services for Minnie Ola Dunn, 69, of Huntington, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2021 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Milton “Scooter” Kelly officiating. Interment will follow in the Aldredge Cemetery.

Ms. Dunn was born July 1, 1952 in Angelina County, Texas, the daughter of the late Modell Hadress (Seymore) and Ansel D. Putnam. She passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 in Houston.

Ms. Dunn was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed fishing and being with her kids and grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, James and Paula Dunn and Leon and Melissa Dunn; significant other of 25 years, Burness Harvey; grandchildren, Patricia Chambers, Brian Kelly, Bradley Dunn, Maddie Dunn, Shelby Thompson, John Thompson, Max Iguess and Makayla Tool; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bobby Putnam, Frankie Putnam and Charles Putnam; sister, Lavern Beasley; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Ms. Dunn was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John Putnam, Gene Putnam, Jimmy Putnam and Billy Putnam; and sisters, Abby Lowe, Linda Thornton and Irene Huffman.

Pallbearers will be James Dunn, Leon Dunn, Bradley Dunn, Brian Kelly, Joe Church and Jimmy Martin.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Martin, Joseph Hedrick and Homer Mitchell.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
