Mary Alice Russell

She was an LVN and worked at Memorial Hospital and Lufkin State School. After retirement, she also was a private sitter. Mrs. Russell was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Christal Shaw of Nacogdoches, Sheila and Beamon Scogin of Huntington; grandsons and wives, Randy and Eileen Birch of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Neal and Carrie Shaw of Arlington; great-grandchildren, Colleen Shaw and Walker Shaw of Arlington; brother, Neal Denman and sister, Joyce Webb of Huntington. Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by her son, Ishmael Russell; son-in-law, James Birch; parents, Lewis and Barbara (Trinkle) Denman; sisters, Florence Gigstad, Reba Clark, Ethel Pate; brothers, Sammie, Pershing, Leslie and Royce Denman.

Pallbearers will be Randy Birch, Neal Shaw, Jacob Denman, Lynn Denman, Sam Webb, and Patrick Richards.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Rick Martin and E. B. Berry.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McMullen Memorial Library, P. O. Box 849, Huntington, Texas, 75949.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Highway Baptist Church in Huntington with Greg Denman officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at Highway Baptist Church in Huntington.
