Martha Wideman

Mrs. Wideman was a case worker for Adult Protective Services for the State of Texas and a member of Lancewood Baptist Church. In the 1970’s, she enjoyed racing stock cars with I.M.C.A. and USAC. Mrs. Wideman loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, her dogs and enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her son David Wideman and wife Pam; daughter Denise Loving; grandson Charles David Loving; granddaughter Jessica Hinojosa and husband Raul; great-granddaughters Cortny Luna and Mila Hinojosa; great-grandsons Izac Loving and Noah Hinojosa as well as numerous other family members and friends.

Mrs. Wideman was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Wideman in 2000; son-in-law Gary Loving; granddaughter Jimi Lynne Loving; brothers Harold Rakestraw and Louie Rakestraw; as well as her sister, Mary Crawford.

Pallbearers will be Izac Loving, David Loving, Raul Hinojosa, John Edwards, John Strain, and David Lively.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnathan Strain, Buddy Donnell, and Dale Donnell.

Services for Mrs. Wideman will be held in the chapel of Gipson Funeral Home on Friday, June 23, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Chet Strain and Bro. Jason Huffman officiating. Interment will follow at Grimes Cemetery in Lufkin, Texas.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time.
