 Dad, you would be proud of your honor guard and 21 gun salute.  It was as perfect as you said they were to be.  I love you and will cherish the memory's,thank you for being my DAD!!

Well PawPaw today was your funeral and I must say it was just beautiful. I know you were watching it from Heaven and had the best seat in the house. You touched so many lives for the 92 years you were here on earth, and everyone you met just loved you. I thank God everyday for the 22 years I was blessed with you in my life. You made such a huge impact on me as a person and taught me so many life lessons while you were here. You were always my number one fan and I was always yours. I will never forget the time you made me go up and down the halls with you at the Meadows to tell everyone in the retirement home that I had made a 4.0 that semester. I have so many great memories with you that I will forever carry in my heart. These last few months were really hard on me watching you in the hospital with so much pain. Many nights I would pray for God to take the pain from you and give you comfort. I know at times I could be annoying in the hospital room picking with you and trying to make you laugh, but all I wanted was to see that beautiful smile of yours to let me know everything was going to be okay. I miss you so much already its unreal. All I want is to be able to tell you one more time in person how much I love you and you mean to me. I remember everytime I would say, "PawPaw I love you", you would always say, "You only say it because you know it's true". I keep replaying our conversation in the hospital room just a few days before you passed when I told you that whatever happens I wanted you to know that you were the best grandpa I could have ever had, and that I was proud of everything you had done throughout your whole life. Do you remember what you told me? You told me that you loved me and I was going to be okay and whatever I do don't look back. Those words will forever be with me, and I thank God for allowing me to have the chance to say those 3 simple words one last time. Pawpaw you were loved by so many and made a positive impact on everyone you touched. There's no doubt in my mind that when you finally reached those pearly gates of Heaven the Lord said, "Well done Lue Murray, well done."

Lue Murray my gandfather, taught me at a young age, along with Norman, Lloyd, Mitchell. and Gene(Wayne) the correct and proper way to buiding strong and lasting houses. His heart is the same, so we're blessed in all his wisdom. I love you Grandpa....................to everyone in your growing family.. I love you all..........Steve

I only met you a few years ago, and should have kept in better contact after then. You seemed very happy to meet more of your extended family, and I was thrilled to meet you for the first time in my memory. The photos posted indicate to me that you were a proud man, honorable, and generally good natured. I may not have gotten much time with you, but am proud to have met such a large figure that helped create the family that I know and love.  Barry

The many years that he came to Colorado was a treat and a honor.  I was just a kid and he taught me a lot about determination and succeeding.  He taught me Grit.  Like the Movie he taught me True Grit.   I am sorry that I didn't get to see him for all these years and I know he will be honored in Heaven

Midge...I remember the first time I met your dad, he was smiling while reaching out his hand to introduce himself. His face just showed happiness. He was always polite and friendly to all of us. I know you will miss him greatly but I hope it comforts you to know he left a wonderful impression on us all. We love you, James & Brittany so much and it just breaks our hearts to see you hurting. I pray the Lord will comfort you during this time of grief.
