Linda Louretta Doss

Mrs. Doss attended school in Huntington and worked for Perry Brothers. She married Floyd Doss in 1964. She stayed home and raised her children and later worked as a secretary at Leslo Sales until her retirement in 1997. She loved her family, grandchildren and church family. She loved her dog, Grace and enjoyed traveling and emailing her friends. She was a member of New Life United Pentecostal Church.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James and Linda Doss; daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Tommy Dorsey, all of Huntington; grandchildren, Aaron Doss, Lacie Kendrick and Madison Dorsey; sisters and brother-in-law, Joyce and Thurman McCarty of Lufkin, TX and Ann Shurley of Huntington, TX; brothers and sisters-in-law, Nathan Griffith of Milam, TX, George and Geneva Griffith of Central, TX and Robert and Kathy Griffith of Huntington, TX; brother-in-law and wife, Pete and Sally Doss of Madisonville, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Doss and sister, Yvonne Snelson.

Services for Mrs. Doss will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 4, 2011 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. M. H. Shubert officiating. Interment will follow in the Sims Rocky Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
