Linda Clawson

Linda (Wright)Clawson, 61, of Lufkin, Was born November 8, 1948 in Athens, Texas. She passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2010 in a local hospice facility. Linda had great strength to survive as she battled cancer for 5 long years.

Linda was a self-employed healthcare consultant. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother,grandmother, and great-grandmother. She ran a tight household. She will be greatly missed by her family.

She is survived by her husband, L. W. Clawson of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Cobie and Stacy Clawson, their daughters Ramsi Clawson and Chelsea Clawson, son Logan Woodall, and grandsons, Andrew Johnson, Nathan Johnson and Braiden Johnson; daughter, Leslie Clawson Gwaltney, her daughters Kimberlie Clawson, Ashley Gwaltney and Sidney Gwaltney and granddaughter, Lexie Clawson; daughter and son-in-law, Courtney Clawson Keels and Danny Keels; mother Louise Wright of Henderson; sister, Sherry Castleberry of Houston; brother and sister-in-law, John and Judy Wright of Henderson; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jo and Benny Evans of Cleburne; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, James Wright; and brother-in-law, Richard Castleberry.

Pallbearers will be Richard Castleberry, Jr., J. W. Castleberry, Denny Eby, Jason Wright, Blake Evans and Tom Trimble.

Honorary pallbearer will be Pete Molina.

Graveside services for Linda will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 9, 2010 in the New Prospect Cemetery in Henderson, with Pastor Bill Nowell officiating.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Saturday at Gipson Funeral Home.
