Services for Kenneth Lee “Taco” Morgan, 49, of Lufkin, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2016 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Billy Knight and Pastor Ford Adkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Wallace Chapel Cemetery.
Kenneth was born July 24, 1966 in Lufkin, Texas. He passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016 in a local hospice facility.
Kenneth was loved by many, never met a stranger, and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. He loved to ride the river, he coined the phrase “If he says duck, don’t look up!!”, enjoyed rebuilding cars and could build anything. He had worked for Moore Bros. Construction for 16 years. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents, Sarah and Benny Morgan of Hudson; daughters, Kimberly Morgan and fiancé Justin Hunt of Lufkin and Kourtney Murphy and husband B J of Huntington; granddaughter, Hadlie Grace Murphy; sisters, Glenda Morgan and Chloe Morgan, both of Lufkin; brother, Michael Morgan of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his sister, Cathy Morgan Kent; and his grandparents.
Pallbearers will be Joe Don Clark, Mark Holcombe, Charlie Holcombe, B J Murphy, Justin Hunt, and Buddy Weisinger.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
