Kenneth Paul Hawkins

Kenneth was born March 19, 1936 and passed away July 27, 2015.

He was owner and operator of Hawkins Auto Sales for over 40 years. He had an avid love for automobiles. He was a member of Chestnut Drive Baptist Church.

Survivors include wife, Tommie Hawkins; daughter and husband, Kerri and Richard Lindell; grandsons, Gage and Sean Lindell; step-son and partner, Bryan Brown and Vu Vu; brother and wife, Ronnie and Lynda Hawkins; step-sister and husband, Dene and Robert Durant; step-sisters-in-law, Brenda Warren and Sue Warren; sister-in-law and husband, Juanice and Vance Vickers; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of dear friends.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Paul J. Hawkins; mother, Naomi Hawkins Sharp; step-mother, Vela Hawkins; sister and husband, Joyce and Lester Brown; and step-brothers, James Warren and Ray Warren.

Pallbearers are Elton James, Harold Stansel, Tim Almand, Ray Brown, Milt Bradford, Jason Hawkins, Monte Duke and Larry Burris.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Chestnut Drive Baptist Church, 1701 Chestnut Drive, Lufkin, TX 75901 or to the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater East Texas, 304 N. Raguet, Suite C, Lufkin, TX 75904.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday

evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
