She attended Diboll High School in Diboll, Texas. She also substitute taught and drove the school bus for many years. She had a love for jewelry, shoes and purses. She enjoyed long walks on the beach collecting sea shells, spending time with her family, and making arts and crafts. She was a Real Estate Title Escrow Officer for 25 years and also worked with the Regional Building Committee of Jehovah's Witnesses for many years. Ann, a Christian all her life, was proud of all her accomplishments, and was married for 46 years.
She is survived by her husband, Burl Massingill of Seabrook, TX; sister, Louise Ellison of Diboll, TX; daughter, Kimberley Martin and husband, Jeff, of Houston, TX; son, Michael Massingill and wife, Aidee, of Alvin, TX; grandchildren, Samantha, Jasmin, Natalie, Emma, and Ian; as well as other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kenneth; brother-in-law, Johnny Ray Ellison; and nephew, Johnny Ellison, Jr.
Funeral Services will be held at the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, 1515 South Chestnut, Lufkin, TX, 75901 on Monday, May 2, 2011 at 1:00 p.m..Interment will follow in Ryan Chapel Cemetery, Diboll, TX.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening, May 1, 2011, at Gipson Funeral Home.
