Graveside service for Janet Cook, 73, of Lufkin, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 10, 2023 at Resthaven Cemetery.

Janet was born February 5, 1950 in Houston, Texas, daughter to the late Alice (Alexander) and John Rufus Cook. She passed away Friday, March 3, 2023 in her residence.

She loved loving on her grand babies and great grandbabies. In her free time she enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts.

Survivors include sons and wives, John and Kasie Matthews of Diboll, and Tim and Misti Matthews of Lufkin; grandchildren, Cortney Matthews, Michael Wagoner, Karis Kimbrough, Erin Matthews, Bailey Fluit, Trinity Matthews, Cooper Matthews, Dakoda Matthews, Justyn Matthews, Melani Matthews, and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and great-grandson, Mason Alexander.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Matthews, Tim Matthews, Dakoda Matthews, Justyn Matthews, Cooper Matthews, Gage Gilmore, and Cole Palmore.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
