Irma Ross Ross Howard

Services for Irma Ross Howard, 89, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2014 at Shawnee Church of Jesus Christ, on Hwy 69 South 5 miles south of Huntington, with Bro. Cary Modisett officiating. Interment will follow in the Jonesville Cemetery.

Mrs. Howard was born March 10, 1925 in Buna, Texas, the daughter of the late Mary Mozell (Hopson) and James Washington Ross. She went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 17, 2014.

Survivors include her daughters, Robbie Howard Maxwell and husband Earl, Frankie Howard Fondren and husband Darrell, and Erma Mozelle Howard Emerson and husband Billy; sons, Henry Andrew Howard, Jr. and Ted Ross Howard and wife Brenda; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Andrew Howard, Sr.; and her son, Roger Dale Howard, Sr.

Pallbearers will be Dan Maxwell, Cameron Maxwell, Bucky Howard, Paul Howard, David Howard, Marshall Howard, and Wes Emerson.

Mrs. Howard’s family would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Carlton J. Lewis for the care and love that he showed to her for 17+ years; to Affinity Hospice of Lufkin, Texas for providing the care and consolation during these last days; and the nurses and caregivers on the 3rd floor of Woodland Heights Medical Center.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. Friday until service time at the church in Huntington.
