Ina Ruth Flowers

Services for Ina Ruth Quine Flowers, 77, of Lufkin will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2019 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with David Flowers officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Flowers was born May 5, 1942, the daughter of the late Emmie Ina (Tarver) and James Hilton Quine in Lufkin, and passed away on December 14, 2019 at a local hospital.

Mrs. Flowers was a good Christian woman and was a member of Victory Assembly of God, who loved to listen to gospel music. She enjoyed being with family and traveling. She also took an interest in painting, cooking and visiting with friends.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and David Ditsworth of Lufkin; son, James Robert Flowers, Jr. of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Janice Flowers of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Mark Gorman of Lufkin; grandchildren, Michael, Adam, Andrew and Gunner Ditsworth; Nicole, Maegan and B.J. Flowers; Michael and Aaron Smith; Matthew and Trent Gorman; brother and sister-in-law, Hilton and Reba Quine of Mesquite, Texas; 19 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Robert Flowers Sr.; brother Alton Quine; sisters, Esther Herrington, Irene Evans, Aline Brookshire and grandson, Timothy Ditsworth.

Pallbearers will be Michael Ditsworth, Adam Ditsworth, Matthew Gorman, B.J. Flowers, Michael Smith, Hunter Ditsworth, Jace Ditsworth and Aaron Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be Trent Gorman, Gunner Ditsworth and Andrew Ditsworth.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening December 16, 2019 at the funeral home.
