Felipa Tovar

Mass of Christian Burial for Felipa Tovar, 82, of Lufkin, will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with Father Raymundo Garcia, celebrant. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday evening in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel; with the family receiving friends and loved ones from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Mrs. Tovar was born August 23, 1936 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, the daughter of the late Leonardo and Luisa Nino. She passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019 at her home surrounded by family. Mrs. Tovar loved her family dearly. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Survivors include her sons, Carlos Tovar and wife Gisela, Juan Tovar and wife Patricia, Jeronimo Tovar and wife Diana, Blas Tovar and wife Laura and Epifanio Tovar and wife Claudia; daughters, Antonia Tovar and husband Luis and Juanita Rodriguez and husband David; brother, Hilario Nino; sister, Rafaela Alvarez; grandchildren, Carlos Tovar Jr., Stephanie Tovar, Gabriel Tovar, Rodolfo Bermudez, Kristy Romero, David Rodriguez Jr., Leonardo Rodriguez, Juan Rodriguez, Axel Tovar, Joel Tovar, Jeronimo Tovar Jr., Gael Tovar, Arath Tovar, Adriel Tovar, Juan Tovar Jr., Johnny Lee Tovar, Crystal Tovar, Rosio Roman, Miguel Tovar, Jessica De La Cruz, Martha Gonzales, Blas Adrian Tovar, Christian Tovar, Guadalupe Tovar, Perla Tovar, and Crystal Ochoa; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tovar was preceded in death by her husband, Silvino Alvarez Tovar; and granddaughter, Carla Itsell Tovar.

Pallbearers will be Carlos Tovar, Juan Tovar, Jeronimo Tovar, Blas Tovar, Epifanio Tovar, David Rodriguez, Carlos Tovar Jr., and David Rodriguez, Jr.
