Wathena Crawford, 73, of Huntington, was born June 25, 1937 in Kaufman County, Texas, the daughter of the late Brucilla (McKinney) and Samuel Gilbert Taylor, Sr. She passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at her residence.
Mrs. Crawford was a homemaker and a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved flowers and enjoyed traveling with her family and church friends. She was a member of Bald Hill Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class and the kitchen committee.
Survivors include her son, Billy Crawford; son and daughter-in-law, Deryl and Peggy Crawford; daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and John Oliver, Carla and Jerry Taylor and Ada and Steve Neal; son, William "Bo" Crawford III; daughter, Cissy Crawford; grandchildren, Jack and Jewell Musick, Casey and Caroline Allison, Chad Allison, Holly and Jason Dykes, Tommy and Bethany Oliver, Dannette Taylor, Aaron Crawford, Aly Crawford and Avery Neal; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda and Wade Kennedy and Glenda and George Smith; and a number of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Mrs. Crawford was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Jay "Sonny" Crawford, Jr.; and 2 brothers.
Pallbearers will be Jack Musick, Casey Allison, Chad Allison, Tommy Oliver, Aaron Crawford and Jason Dykes.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Oliver, Jerry Taylor and Steve Neal.

Services for Mrs. Crawford will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Roger Fancher officiating. Interment will follow in the Fielder Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
