Devin was born December 12, 2005 in Lufkin, Texas, son to Candice Whittemore and Kenneth Scott. He passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023 in his residence.
Devin was a son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend to so many people. He was a student at Hudson High School who loved his welding class and Ag! He loved hunting, fishing, riding go carts, going to the beach and driving a tractor with his dad, brothers, sister and stepmom. When he was home, he enjoyed playing video games, exploring the woods, riding four wheelers, going to the lake with friends, brother, sister, and stepdad. He loved to help me cook and come up with different recipes. He also loved to annoy, criticize my cooking and tell me how ridiculous my rules were... He was always there for his grandparents and eager to lend a helping hand. We loved watching movies together and shared many favorite TV shows. At his dad's he also enjoyed swimming, going to the movies, and even trips to Colorado even though they were long. We mostly spent time fishing and harassing each other. We always joked he was a spitting image of me even down to the dad bod with the exception of his mom’s hair. He always wanted to be in woods hunting for something or chopping on something. I'm scared to go into my woods due to booby traps him and his brothers set. They were supposedly always working on a "FORT" that never made any process.
Devin loved the state of Texas and never wanted to leave... He said that not many other places had “sweet tea”. He was a big believer in telling the gods honest truth, even if you did not want to hear it. I asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up... He said he wanted to join the marines and later become a demolition expert like his dad except his dad was in the Navy. He will be missed! Gone but never forgotten... Always and Forever
