Clara Virginia Moore

Services for Clara V. Moore, 91, of Lufkin, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2012 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Robert Faulk officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Moore was born May 18, 1921 to Myrtle and Charlie Cope in Gould, Oklahoma. She went to be with her Lord on Sunday September 30, 2012.

Clara married Thomas Hugh Moore on May 24, 1941. He preceded her in death in 2000.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Charles (Chuck) and Toni Moore and Grady Raymond and Janice Moore; grandchildren, ReNee Moore Zimmerman, Patrick Moore, Melissa McDougal, Chad Moore, Tiffany Shultz, Tom Moore and their spouses; 9 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; sister, Shirley Kelley; and sister-in-law, June Cope.

Clara liked to crochet and do crafts for the church Bazaars. She loved to listen to Gospel music and study her Bible. She was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church. Clara had a green thumb when it came to plants and flowers. She had an amazing sense of humor, making others laugh, even if at her own expense. Clara will be missed greatly by family, friends and neighbors.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Moore, Chad Moore, Tom Moore, Brent Moore, Mike McDougal and Jerry Highnote.

The family will receive friends from11:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
