Funeral service for Bobby Glenn Ryan, 73, of Diboll will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Gipson Funeral Home with Bro. Atmar Lester and Bro. Neil Ford officiating. He will be laid to rest at Ryan Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Ryan was born August 14, 1950, in Lufkin, TX, son of the late Frances (Goins) and Cecil Ryan. He passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024 at his residence.
Bobby was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved all of his grandchildren. Bobby enjoyed singing, gardening, writing, and playing the guitar. He was a pastor for 10 years at Pine Valley Congregational Methodist Church. Bobby worked 45 years as a supervisor maintenance manager for Temple Inland and then later became a member of the Diboll Volunteer Department, where he volunteered as an E.M.T. and fireman.
Survivors include wife, Lillian Ryan; son, Robert and Rhonda Ryan; grandchildren, Gracie Ella Ryan, Makinzey Ryan, Devon Ryan, Nevaeh Ryan, Colton Ryan, Braxton Ryan, Benton Ryan; brother, Kenneth Ryan and Alice, Raymond Ryan; and sister, Sarah Rios and Hector.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Jason Ryan.
Pallbearers will be Makinzey Ryan, Sarina Timms, Brandy Reppond, Trevor Reppond, Daniel Kee, and Michael Harrison.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
