Services for Amy Youngblood, 70, of Lufkin, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 11, 2013 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Cedric Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Amy left this world to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on November 6, 2013. Amy will be remembered as a strong person of faith and for the love she had for her family. She had a passion for the Bible and prayer. She enjoyed bingo with her friends, eating out, and knitting. She loved church and looked forward to meetings. She was a member of Divine Touch Ministries. Spending time with family was always important. She also had a talent of sending very secure mail. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Amy was born on June 16, 1943 in Sioux City, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, Burton and Mable Russell; brothers, Kenneth and George Russell; and daughters, Lisa and Debbie.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, David and Ann Youngblood of Nacogdoches and Roy and Kim Youngblood of Montgomery; granddaughter, Rachael Chapman and husband Adam of Vidor; grandsons, Zachary and Caleb Youngblood of Montgomery; great-grandson, Kaden Chapman of Vidor; brother, Burton Russell of Raleigh, North Carolina; sisters, Lilyan Smith of Wichta, Kansas, Barbara Fleming and husband Paul of Prairie Village, Kansas, and Peggy Frerichs of Goodland, Kansas; and a number of other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Gipson Funeral Home.
