Wanda Potts

Memorial services will be held at 1pm on Saturday, October 23, 2010, at Sunset Church of Christ. Visitation will be on Friday from 6pm to 7:30pm at Resthaven Funeral Home. Private burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Park. Wanda was born on July 3, 1928, in Acuff, Texas, to the late W. Ashley and Trudie (Burford) Davis. She was Salutatorian of her class at Roosevelt High School and attended Abilene Christian College. She married J.B. Potts on August 5, 1948, in Lubbock. Her family was her most prized possession. Her gift was hospitality and serving others. She was a member of the Sunset Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, J.B. Potts; three brothers: Curtis Lee Davis, B.P. Davis, and S.E. Davis; and a sister: Inez Ming.

Those left to cherish Wanda’s memories are her four daughters: Emily Ratcliff and husband David, Karen Lehnen and husband Gary, Lisa Cobb and husband Robert, and Mary Jane Poormon and husband Jim; eight grandchildren: Mandy Biggers and husband Carter, Jay Ratcliff, Clint Lehnen and wife Meredith, Clay Lehnen and wife Eleah, Josh Cobb, Allison Cobb, Ben Poormon, and McKinley Poormon; seven great grandchildren: Korie Lehnen, Jack Lehnen, Macie Lehnen, Palmer Biggers, Harrison Biggers, Annabelle Biggers, and Ella Lehnen; a brother, D.D. Davis; and a sister, Sula Thompson.
