Graveside services for Wanda Jean Peterson, 90, of Lubbock will be at 3:00p.m. on Wednesday, January 29 in Resthaven Memorial Park. Mrs. Peterson passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at home surrounded by her family.
Wanda Jean was born on November 6, 1923 in Hyde Park, Texas to John C. and Vilie I. (Smith) Patton. She married Vernon A. Peterson on January 20, 1944 in Lovington, NM. Mrs. Peterson was a homemaker who took wonderful loving care of her husband and 2 sons, Vernon, Jr. and Wayne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Juanell Roper. Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Vernon Peter-son, Jr and his wife, Jackie and Wayne Peterson; 4 granddaughters; 6 great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Pam Peterson.
