Tommy “Tucker” White, age 76, of Lubbock, passed peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2015. He was born January 26, 1939; he was raised in O’Donnell, Texas. After he graduated from O’Donnell High School, he joined the United States Army. After his honorable discharge, he moved to Lubbock, Texas, where he began working for the Lubbock Cotton Gin. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and watching old Western movies.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his life companion, Bettie Mae Dorsey; and daughter, Tommie Denise White.
He is survived by his daughters, Susie White, of Lubbock, Irion Ross, of Lubbock; son, Steve White, of Lubbock; step-sons, Charles Phenix, of Slaton, Freddy Phenix, of Slaton, Rev. L. Phenix of Lubbock; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and many close friends he considered family.
