Tom Brown was born on January 3, 1951 to TI and Barbara Brown and his sister Sherry in Lubbock, TX. Tom attended Monterey High School where he graduated in 1969. In February of 1973 he married Ginger Haden and remained married for 42 years, and together they had two children, Haden and Barbie. Tom worked in the bowling industry for most of his life. He began working at Lubbock Bowl when he 11 years old; later, most recently he worked for Brunswick Bowling.
Through bowling, Tom touched so many lives; he traveled internationally and promoted what is amazing about bowling. When he was not working, Tom dedicated his time to his only passion which was God. Tom was an Elder at First Christian Church; he was a smiling beacon to every person that walked through the door Sunday mornings.
A once in a lifetime soul, Tom was funny, witty and enjoyed the power of laughter. Tom will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents TI and Barbara Brown.
Tom is survived by his loving wife Ginger Brown; their children, Haden Brown and his wife Virginia, of Grain Valley, MO; Barbara Stevens, and her husband Joshua, of Lubbock, Texas; four grandchildren, Lyndsey Jordan, Olivia Brown, Luke Stevens and Scarlet Livingston Stevens; his sister, Sherry Sandoval, of Dallas, Texas.
A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday October 21, 2015 at First Christian Church, 2323 Broadway, Lubbock, Texas. Visitation will be held Tuesday October 20, 2015 from 6 to 8 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, 5740 West 19th St, Lubbock, Texas. “LOVE IT” In lieu of customary memorials contributions can be made to First Christian Church of Lubbock (www.fcclubock.org) , Whitewood Lanes Youth Bowling (www.whitewoodlanes.com) and Cherubs: Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (www.cherubs-cdh.org)
