Sylvia was born in Fort Worth on November 19, 1927 to William and Natalie Hubert. She married Ernest E. Kerr Jr. in 1946, and they were married 51 years.
She is survived by two children, a son, Allan Kerr and partner Richard Mee of Colorado, and daughter, Tam and husband Tim Gristy of Lubbock, and three grandchildren, Wes Gristy of Tennessee, Sara Craft of Lubbock, and Jordan Gristy of Austin; eight great grandchildren, and two sisters, Peggy Young and Mary Huston. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two of her four sisters.
Sylvia was a devoted wife and loving mother, and she volunteered with Milam’s Children Center and the Telephone Pioneers.
