Susan Bishop, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 24, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 78. She was born October 9, 1945 in El Paso, Texas to the late George and Ruth Brassell. She graduated from Slaton High School.
She was preceded in death by her son, George in 2021 and her husband, Donny Bishop in 2023, after 43 years of marriage.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Steve and Shawn Bishop, and a granddaughter, Ashley Bishop; numerous extended family members, friends and her precious cats.
Susan was an avid golfer, she was the City of Lubbock Champion 3 different times, Lakeridge County Club Champion 3 times and at Hillcrest Country club from 1995 to 2013 she was the club Champion 12 times.
She also rescued cats and took care of them all over Lubbock. For 8 years, she fed Bonnie and Clyde at Walmart.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at the Abbey Chapel at Resthaven with Celebration of Life services beginning at 2 pm, interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park
