Sue Armontrout Miller

Chapel services for Sue Armontrout Miller, 91, of Lubbock and previously of New Home, will be 10:00a.m. Saturday April 20, 2013 in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel with burial immediately following in Resthaven Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends this evening from 6p.m. – 7:30p.m. at Resthaven. Sue passed away on April 16, 2013.

Sue was born on March 7, 1922 in Little Rock, AR to Robert and Celia Smith. She graduated from New Home High School and earned her beauticians license from Isabel Powell Hair Design School. She had been a hair stylist in New Home for many years before moving to Lubbock.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Gary Benton; daughter, Tanya Armontrout; husband, Harvey Miller; 2 sisters; and 2 brothers.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sonya Cornett; son, Gaylord Armontrout; granddaughter, Tiffany Weddel (Jason); three great-grandchildren, Campbell, Henley, and Charlie Weddel; nieces, LaJuana Smith (Welby), Elaine Mitchell (Billy), and Sandra Tolbert ; and nephew, Del Renfroe (Dreama).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a favorite charity of their choice.
