Sherrie Kay Ireland 65, died Friday, June 9th 2023 at her Lubbock home with her loved ones by her side. Sherrie was born April 28th 1958 in Lubbock, Tx to Bennie Joe Green and Juanelle Marie Green. She is the eldest sibling to 2 younger brothers. Sherrie was a big part of her families’ lives, although she did not have children of her own, she was an aunt to 5 nieces who she loved and adored beyond measure. Sherrie and Lee started their lives together in Midland, Texas before moving to Amarillo, Texas, to return to Lubbock, Texas where she lived for the remainder of her life. Sherrie loved her dogs throughout the years, starting with Champ and the latest being Sister. She was a proud homemaker and generous soul. Sherrie is survived by her husband Lee Ireland; Her two brothers Tommy (Felicia) Green and Kenneth (Elizabeth) Green; As well as her 5 nieces, Elizabeth, Shelby, Kristin, Courtney, and Caitlin. She was preceded in death by both her parents and other beloved family members. Her loved ones will always have the memories shared with Sherrie throughout the years and she will remain in our hearts until we meet again. Service will be held Friday June 16th 2023 at 10:00am at Resthaven Funeral Home, flowers can be sent to Resthaven Funeral Home with care for Sherrie Ireland. Burial in Brownfield, TX to follow.
A funeral service for Sherrie will be held Friday, June 16, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Resthaven Funeral Home, 5740 West 19th St, Lubbock, TX. Following the funeral service will be a graveside at Terry County Memorial Cemetery, Brownfield, TX.
