Ruth Tabor

Ruth was born on November 17, 1925 in Miami, Texas to Jack and Inez Nickel and married Roy Lee Tabor, May 5, 1946 in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Ruth attended school in Miami, Texas and Hydro, Oklahoma. She was a member of Broadway Church of Christ in Lubbock, Texas.

Survivors include a son, Gary Tabor and wife, Linda of Fredricksburg, Texas; three daughters: Teresa Nielsen and husband, Nels of San Tan Valley, Arizona; Susan Dodson and husband, Dennis of Edmonds, Washington; Rhonda Woodard of Lubbock, Texas; eight grandchildren: Erin Williams and husband, Jasen; Toby Tabor; Tarence Tabor and wife, Lucia; Tonya Tabor; Cody Dodson and wife, Susan; Evan Dodson; Bobby Woodard and wife, Chelsea and Katie Woodard; three great grandchildren: Zayne, Rhihann and Silas. Ruth will be greatly missed by all her family and friends for her smile and loving heart.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Tabor; three brothers: Daniel, Loren and Bill Nickel; two sisters: Nona Ann Wilson and Anita Perkins; a son, Kevin Mark Tabor and a grandson, Nels C. Nielsen.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2010, from 6pm to 7pm at Resthaven Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held to honor Ruth at 1pm on Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at Broadway Church of Christ Chapel. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
