Ronnie Greene

Ronnie was born in Springfield, Missouri on March 31, 1938 to Chester and Winona Greene. He has lived in Lubbock since 1950.

He attended Lubbock schools, then owned and operated Greene’s Tire Shop for 46 years until his retirement in 2000. On April 5, 1957 he married Darla Kelley. They have 3 children, Rhonda Thomas (Ric), Brenda Norman (Kevin) and Steven Greene (Janessa). He was the proud and loving grandfather of 6 beautiful granddaughters and 7 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his only sibling, Jerry Greene and 1 great granddaughter, Stephani Greene.

Ronnie loved his family, animals and horse racing. Some of his favorite times were spent in Ruidoso, New Mexico with his family. He was a generous and hard working man.

Family visitation will be on Sunday, December 23, 2012 from 2 to 4 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 AM on Monday, December 24, 2012 at Resthaven Abbey Chapel with burial to follow at the City of Lubbock cemetery.
