Robert Dan Haney, age 78, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away January 1, 2017. He was born in Thalia, Texas on June 5, 1938. Dan graduated from Lockett High School in Lockett, Texas. He married Lanna Gail Haney on February 27, 1960.
Dan became the owner of Specs Refrigeration in Lubbock in 1990 and operated the business until he retired in 2007. Dan’s faith was his passion. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his children: Kim Renae Waits, Randel Haney, Sharla Been and Pete Haney; grandchildren: Heather Brazil, Kristin Barron, Danny Klos, Emily Haney, Beth Haney, Cole Haney, Calen Been, Makayla Been, Sara Haney and Sophie Haney; Great-grandchildren: Asher Sellers, Conan Barron, Hailie Wilcher and Keleigh Klos; and brothers and sisters: Milton Haney, Kelton Haney and Angie Perry.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Lubbock Children’s Home.
