He was born Sept. 12, 1928 in Boone County, MO. to the late Clarence and Roy (Hayden) Dudley. Richard graduated from David G. Hickman High School in Columbia, MO. He married Twilight Jean Morris in March of 1955, she preceded him in death on Feb 7, 2018. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, James Dudley, John Dudley, Raymond Dudley, sisters, Quieda Ballenger, Barbara Rella, Louis Baker and Dorothy Dudley.
Richard was employed as an electrical lineman for Southwestern Public Service for 41 years. He was a member of the Post Volunteer Fire Department for 19 years, VFW Gold Member (50 Years), Masons, Lions Club, Jaycees and IBEW Union. He also volunteered with the Lubbock Meals on Wheels for 15 years and served as a little League Baseball Coach. In his spare time, Richard, enjoyed golf, fishing, camping, playing pool, and watching football and baseball.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his children, Richard Alan Dudley and wife Janet of Cement, OK, Garland and Terri Dudley of Amarillo, Dana and Chris Cantu of Lubbock; grandchildren, Dacia Steger, Heath Ray Dudley, Jason Lofgren, Wesley Dudley, Joshua Dudley, Richard Webb, Zachary Webb, John Ray Cantu and Roy Dale Cantu.
