Patsy O. Wilson, 91, of Lubbock passed away Thursday, October 6th, 2022, after a brief illness. Graveside services and burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Resthaven Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will follow at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Patsy was born on September 20, 1931, in Tokio, Texas. Patsy worked for General Telephone in Brownfield before marrying Roy V. Wilson on December 24, 1949. She continued to work for Bell Telephone in Lubbock until she began traveling with Roy during the early part of his 40-year work career with Southwestern Public Service. After the birth of her daughter, Cynthia Gail, in 1953 they settled permanently in Lubbock. Her second daughter, Kim Denise, was born in 1955. Patsy and Roy joined Sunset Church of Christ and were devout members. Patsy made the family home until 1970 when she once again began her work career. Patsy worked for Latham's Department Store until 1980 and also worked until retirement in 1987 for Southwest Dental Group. After retirement, Roy and Patsy remained in Lubbock and enjoyed travel in their recreation vehicle. She is survived by daughters, Cynthia Wilson and husband, Hal Volcek of Richardson, Texas and Kim Wilson and husband, Francisco Villegas of Del Rio, Texas; grandsons, Wilson and Randall Villegas both of Austin, Texas.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings.
