Odessa Turner

The visitation will be held Friday, August 29th at Resthaven Memorial Park from 7:00-9:00pm. Funeral services will be Saturday August 30th at Oakwood Baptist Church at 60th and Avenue U in Lubbock at 2:00pm, where Odessa was a member of the Senior Chior, followed by an internment service at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Odessa was proceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years Willard Lee Turner, parents John and Mary Etta Gordon, sisters Lula Mae Stark and Eva Gordon, brother J. R. Gordon and her life long Friend Mrs. Irma Brown and many others.

Survivors to cherish her memory are Linda Turner Stracener of Lubbock, Gordon Turner of Lubbock, Gina and Roy Dempsey of Castroville, Teresa and Glen Edwards of Austin , Robert and Dion Turner of Leander and Sister-in-law Paula Roper and husband Travis. Odessa was the loving grand mother of nine grandchildren and 12 great-grand children. Odessa dedicated her life to being a homemaker for her children and a devoted wife to her husband Willard. She was a very sweet and kind person and her passing is a tremendous loss to all who knew her. We are very greatful to the Covenant hospital and wonderful staff.
