Nadine C. Rogers passed away October 16, 2017 in Arlington, Texas at the age of 93. She was born to Guy and Mildred Callahan in Plainview, Texas on September 19, 1924. She spent much of her youth living with her grandparents in Tonk Valley near Graham, Texas. Nadine attended schools in Plainview and Graham and then continued her education at Watson Business College. She was an accountant for Plainview Hospital Foundation and Plains Medical Clinic for 20 years. She completed the master course prescribed by the International Graphoanalysis Society in Chicago and was designated a Master Certified Graphoanalyst.
In 1972 she married Dewey Rogers and moved to Brownfield and helped Dewey in his floral business until they moved to Lubbock in 1979. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was also active in Lubbock Women’s Club, Heritage Study Club, Trowel and Error Garden Club, and PEO Sisters. She was a Proverbs 31 woman and was always working with her hands, cooking, crafting, writing, reading and learning. She was innately in tune to the needs of her family. Her family was blessed by her unwavering faith, her bountiful love, and her enduring strength throughout her life. She never grew weary not even at the end of her fight with Alzheimer’s. Isaiah 40:31 truly depicted her life and her courageous battle: “But those who hope on the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings of eagles they will run and not grow weary.”
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Rogers, her only daughter, Sue Richards, her two sisters, Dorothy Appelt and Doris Billingsley, and her step-daughter Rande Spector.
Survivors include her son Guy Mallow and wife Elaine of Arlington, one step-son Mike Rogers and wife, Cathy of Lubbock. Grandchildren include: Leslie Richards of Houston, Lesa Fisher of Ft Worth, Randy and Deeana Richards of Fairfield, CT, Jeff Richards of Fairfax, VA, Monica and Scott Satterwhite of Lake Kiowa, TX, Justin and Tasha Mallow of North Richland Hills, TX, Josh Rogers of Lubbock and Rachel and Sunny Patel of Lubbock. Great-grandchildren include: Sesalie, Macie, and Sadler Satterwhite, Kaitlyn and Lorelei Richards, Robin, Meredith, and Alex Richards, Shawna Alliston and Barrett Patel.
Funeral services will be at 1 pm, Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Resthaven Chapel in Lubbock, TX. Memorials may be made to your favorite charity or Alzheimer Association.
