Missy Ratcliff passed away Friday August 02, 2024 at her home in Lubbock. Services for Missy will be held, Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at St Christopher Episcopal Church in Lubbock, Texas.
She was born Aug. 16, 1941. She grew up traveling around the world as her father was in the military. She graduated from Lubbock High in 1959 and attended Texas Tech University receiving her Bachelors of Nursing from Texas Tech School Nursing.
Missy was married to Dr. Charles Ratcliff, who preceded her in death. Her sister, Marilyn Williams died in 2015. She also had two sons Bobby and Chuck Ratcliff preceded her in death.
She is survived by her two sons, Keith Bell and Jon Bell and Jon’s wife Kelly, as well as her daughters Martha Ratcliff Johnson and Kay Ratcliff Cunningham. She also has many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed by many loving and caring friends.
Missy was a member of Saint Christopher Episcopal Church where she volunteered for many programs. She was a 12 year volunteer for University Medical Center as well. She was a founding member of the Flying Nurses and an RN with a pilot’s license. Through the years she volunteered in many varied programs.
She enjoyed cooking and entertaining and was very good at it. She hosted a weekly Mah-Jong game at her home and threw many parties that showcased her excellent cooking and organizing skills.
She loved people and always cared for others.
