Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 2PM in Resthaven’s Mausoleum Chapel, after the service she will be laid to rest next to her life partner, Dude Simpson in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held tonight from 6-8 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Mildred was born on December 19, 1925 in Tulia, Texas. Mildred was a very caring person and will be missed by all that knew her. Together Mil and Dude worked in the ranching and farming industries in Tulia and Pampa, Texas, Durango, Colorado, Magdalena, New Mexico, Ft Garland and Arlington, Colorado.
Mildred is survived by one daughter Mary Lou McClellan and her husband Glenn, one grandson; John Michael Serpa and his wife JoAnn, one great granddaughter; Jenna Serpa, sister-in-law; Tommie Hood, Neice; Reneé Fischer and her husband Chris, great nephew and niece; Joshua and Kaitlin Fischer.
She was preceded in death by her brother; Eugene Hood and, mother, Louise Hood Spilman.
